The Lord is my Shepherd
The Lord is my Shepherd
I love this. The Lord is truly my Shepherd. I haven’t written in here for a while so I thought I’d go back to the beginning of my favourite psalm (Psalm 23).
Sheep that have a Shepherd are truly care-free. They don’t always know where they are going but they have so much trust in their Shepherd it doesn’t matter.
He leads the way. He loves them so they can trust Him.
The only job of the sheep is to keep their eye on their Shepherd. If their vision becomes blurry they listen for the sound of His staff brushing against the grasp. When He speaks they listen to His Words and are comforted by His familiar voice. If their hearing becomes impaired they look for Him and His staff rising above the hustle and bustle of the herd.
I don’t know what you’re going through right now but I want to encourage you with the fact that you have a Shepherd. You might not know Him or be familiar with Him yet but He is there and He exists. When you are weak or lost, He stops the herd and comes to help you. The Shepherd sees everything, He’s all powerful and He’s absolutely obsessed with you. You’re so important to Him and that makes you infinitely important. He’s a really good Shepherd and all you have to do is follow Him.
