“…You lead me along righteous paths for your names sake…”

The Shepherd has to uphold His character. Whenever you are unsure whether you are going the right direction or not, know that the Shepherd is leading you and guiding you. Not because of how good you are but because of how good He is. I’ve been guilty of thinking that I’m being guided because of how good and lengthy my prayer session was or how perfect my meditation time was. This is simply not true. Yes doing these things increase my awareness of His presence and guidance but they are certainly not the reason why I or any of us are being guided. All of us, no matter who we are or what we’ve done or experienced in life, can benefit from the guidance, comfort and protection of The Shepherd. I recently watched a video by a well known media mogul about the benefits of listening to the whispers of your soul. You are constantly getting whispers in your ear about the right way or direction to go in life. Some of these whispers are actually warnings. Sometimes these warnings when ignored can become louder and louder. When they are so loud that they have become an inner shout, and yet you still ignore them, that’s when something impactful has to happen in your life to really get your attention. He is leading you but you must acknowledge His leading and if you take anything from this, I encourage you to listen to whispers. They can sometimes be the difference between life and death.
